– CARING FOR YOUR WEAVE –
With the right care, your weave can last longer, maintain its natural look, and remain soft and manageable. Please follow these guidelines to keep your hair in the best condition.
1. Washing and Conditioning
• Wash your weave every 1–2 weeks (or as needed) with a sulfate-free shampoo.
• Gently detangle the hair with a wide-tooth comb/brush before washing.
• Wash in a downward motion to avoid tangling.
• Always follow with a moisturising conditioner to restore softness. – making sure to wash all the product out to avoid build up
2. Drying
• Pat the hair dry with a microfibre towel—do not rub.
• Allow the hair to air dry whenever possible.
• If using a blow dryer (for any reason), use the cool or low-heat setting to avoid heat damage.
3. Styling
• Limit the use of heat tools (flat irons, curling wands, etc.). Always apply a heat protectant spray before styling.
• Avoid heavy styling products that may cause buildup.
• For curls or waves, use flexi rods or rollers instead of daily heat styling. – curly weaves, style with a curling brush or your fingers
4. Night Care
• Braid or wrap your hair before bed to prevent tangling.
• Use a satin or silk bonnet/scarf, or sleep on a satin pillowcase to reduce friction. – if wearing a wig that you take off at night, then invest in a wig bag for storage
5. Maintenance Tips
• Detangle gently from ends to roots.
• Keep the weave moisturised using a light leave-in or natural oil (avoid heavy oils on the weft).
• Avoid excessive pulling to preserve the weave
6. Professional Care
• Schedule regular maintenance appointments if your weave is sewn in. – if a wig, please don’t forget to care for your scalp regularly
• Do not leave a sew-in weave installed longer than 6–8 weeks without professional removal.
With proper care, your human weave can maintain its shine, softness, and versatility for months or years depending the quality you go for
